About Me
My name is Rikki Mathay, born and raised a happy child by my amazing parents, with a slight dash of nerdy as I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of the Philippines at the age of 19, and segued to being a TV news anchor in the biggest broadcasting company in the Philippines. After all the adventures that came with my career, I left it all to enter the richest chapter of my life at the age of 24 as a I became a devoted wife- and after 1 year, a full time mom. I believe in love, goodness and kindness & I turned to philanthropy by age 30 with Red Cross and other ways to help my community. As fate would have it, after nearly 10 years of being a beloved housewife (age 33?), I went back to work but this time in the political arena. Now I can add blogger at age 37!! Yipeee!!! :)
Like most working moms, I wish there were more than 24 hours in a day just so we can fit in everything we need and want to do, yet I still find myself in front of my laptop now, furiously clicking away on the keyboard because on top of everything I’m already doing, I want to share my thoughts, some wisdom (eherm!), and just about anything fun and/or informative, with other working mommas like me who work outside or in their homes. Join me as I continue to explore the world of motherhood to the world of politics, from the frivolities of fashion and beauty to more meaningful endeavors, from the entertainment world to travels around the world!, health tips including my recent struggle with weight (yep, comes with age!), daytime to night time events, and just about everything else in between which makes our lives as women so darn colorful (and truth be told, well, just trying and tiring at times).
Why? Because I know moms can do everything, especially when we support other women who are traversing the same roads we are are on. :)
